How it all began..

I have been wanting to start a blog for sooo long now. I'm a huge blog creeper and faithfully read just about everyone's blog. I have way to much spare time on my hands, obviously. So I was super excited when Weston proposed so I finally had a reason to blog (I guess I was excited for other reasons too :P). I have tried numerous times to start a journal and write in it everyday but that would only last a week? Sometimes not even that. So I am determined to stick with this and document every part of Weston's and my new life together. Starting with how he proposed..

First let me start with a little background information about our relationship. We have dated all throughout high school, starting in the 8th grade. I have always had a huge crush on Weston, although he claims he doesn't even remember me until grade 8, hurtful i know lol. Anyhow we were on and off until grade 10, (Friday February 14, 2009) and after that, aside from a few high school dramatic fights, we have always been together . I seriously have always known that I was going to marry Weston.

Okay back to the proposal story. I had known Weston was getting a ring because well I am way to snoopy for my own good. Seriously though I should have been a personal detective or something, it's a gift I'm telling ya. So when I knew Weston finally had met with the ring guy and ordered it, I was not so patiently waiting... and waiting. After about 4 weeks I was convinced that he didnt want to marry me at all (I've been told I can be a tad bit dramatic). So after accusing Weston of this, he finally broke down and told me that the ring would be another 2 weeks or so. So now I'm bawling because I have completely ruined my surprise, and because I of course did not want to wait another 2 whole weeks. Because let me tell ya knowing that someone could propose at any moment is ALOT of pressure.

So the Tuesday before he proposed, he asked me to meet him in Lethbridge so he could take me on a date. I had known the ring was in, because like I said I'm a huge snoop. So after my clinical shift at the hospital I raced home and got all dressed up and met him in Lethbridge thinking tonight was the night. And of course it was not. I was crushed. By Friday (March 22, 2013) I had decided that I was going to stop getting my hopes up that it was going to happen, because it always left me dissapointed. On his way home from Claresholme I asked him if he would pick me up on his way to his house so I wouldn't have to drive, he accepted. I asked him what the plans were for tonight and he said just the same old, watch some movies, go to the gym etc. I was convinced he wasn't proposing. After waiting and waiting for him to pick me up he finally texts me and says that he completely forgot about me and I had to drive myself. He was just adding insult in injury at this point. So I grumpilly drove myself over to his house. He was waiting at the door for me, and on the table he had a bouquet of roses, a bunch of my romantic movies and dinner. When I turned around to look at him he was on one knee. He was so nervous and shaky, it was seriously the cutest thing. After we finished being all lovey dovey, his sister Sarah jumped out from behind the couch with the camera in hand, who had apparently been video recording us the whole time. Haha slightly awkward but I love that he thought of that so I can always re watch that moment. It was by far the best moment of my life and well worth the wait!
